Distribution of Placement Offers

Jubilant Day for the academic year 2023-24 at Francis Xavier Engineering College marked a significant milestone in the institution's history. This year, the college celebrated an outstanding accomplishment with a total of 714 placement offers received from various multinational companies with the highest salary package of Rs 17.04 Lakhs per annum.

Dr. Cletus Babu, Founder Chairman of the SCAD Group of Institutions, honored the event with his esteemed presence. In his address, Dr. Cletus Babu lauded the remarkable achievements of the placed students and extended profound gratitude to their parents for their steadfast support.

FXEC Students Win Prestigious Design Grant for Innovative “Spherical Milling Machine”

A team of Mechanical Engineering students from the Design, Modelling and Analysis Industrial Applied Lab has been awarded a prestigious design grant for their innovative invention, "Spherical Milling Machine." This ground-breaking project was developed by Pravin P, Manoj Kumar B, Joel Raj A, and Lewish Festus Graceton J from the IV B.E Mechanical Engineering program, alongside Esakki Selvam T and Christuraja Kumar from the III B.E Mechanical Engineering program, under the mentorship of Dr. M. Kannan, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. This achievement underscores FXEC's commitment to fostering design thinking, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and building strong industry partnerships. Enriching Mobility Programme at MAHSA University

A group of students from FX Engineering College (FXEC) recently embarked on an enriching journey to MAHSA University in Malaysia as part of the Student Mobility Programme. During their stay, the students engaged in a diverse array of training sessions, including AI applications, 3D modelling and printing, Arduino projects, and multimedia presentations. Beyond the classroom, they also immersed themselves in vibrant cultural activities, creating unforgettable memories. FXEC extends its heartfelt gratitude to MAHSA University for their gracious hospitality and for providing such a valuable learning experience.

FXEC Student Wins State Title in TN Skills, Set to Represent Tamil Nadu at India Skills

Nandeeswararaja M, a third-year B.Tech Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), achieved the distinguished honor of emerging as the state winner in the TN Skills competition. Nandeeswararaja is now poised to represent Tamil Nadu at the India Skills competition, where he will compete in the Cloud Computing category.

This notable accomplishment reflects both his dedication and the exemplary mentorship provided by Mrs. Aruna Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology. FXEC, located in Tirunelveli, is renowned for its commitment to fostering talent and nurturing students who excel in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Seyad Abdur Raheem M, Francis Johan M, Gnana Vasanth G, and Bala Subramanian S, of II year B.E. Computer Science and Engineering published a groundbreaking patent titled "Animal Sound-Based Audiometry Testing System." Mentored by Mrs. Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, CSE, this work marks a significant advancement in audiometry testing. Their dedication and ingenuity exemplify the innovative spirit at Francis Xavier Engineering College.

Rahul Raja P, Saffin Vargesh B, and Sri Hari Sreenivasan S, third-year Computer Science and Engineering students at Francis Xavier Engineering College (FXEC), have secured a patent for their invention titled "Women Safety Band Integrated with AI." Guided by Assistant Professor Mrs. J. Priskilla Angel Rani, this innovative project leverages cutting-edge AI technology to enhance women's safety. This milestone highlights the students' ingenuity and underscores FXEC's commitment to fostering creativity and addressing societal issues through academic and research initiatives.

Joel Branaid S. B., Karthik S., and Jevonte J., first-year students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Francis Xavier Engineering College (FXEC), reached a significant milestone with the official publication of their patent titled "Autonomize Bike: Empowering Electric Bikes with Autonomous Technology." This groundbreaking invention, developed in association with the Blockchain Industrial Applied Lab, was guided by Mrs. Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, CSE, and Dr. Harold Robinson, Professor, CSE. This achievement highlights the students' innovative capabilities and FXEC's dedication to advancing technological research and development.

The Elite Mindz Team at Francis Xavier Engineering College's Ideation Industrial Applied Lab has attained a significant achievement by successfully patenting "MEDBOT - AI Integrated Autonomous Rover for Medicinal Plant Recognition." This innovative creation, utilizing advanced artificial intelligence to autonomously identify medicinal plants, holds immense potential for advancing healthcare and environmental science. Spearheaded by GB Kala Devi, a student from IV B.Tech - Information Technology, in collaboration with N Arumugam and J Joel from III B.Tech Computer Science and Business Systems, the project received guidance from Dr. TC Subbulakshmi and Ms. A Agnes.

First-year B.Tech AI & DS students from Francis Xavier Engineering College (FXEC) have won third place at ITRIX 2024, a prestigious event organized by Anna University, College of Engineering, Guindy.

FXEC is dedicated to nurturing and motivating its students from their first year, encouraging them to present papers at state and national level competitions. Vijayalakshmi M. and Sakthi Rama G., of I B.Tech AI & DS achieved significant recognition at the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Innovations in Computing and Communication (ICMICC'24). Hosted by SRM Easwari Engineering College, this conference saw the duo winning the Best Paper Award for their insightful research titled "Navigating the Epochs of Student Engagement in Real-Time Learning Landscapes."

Vijayalakshmi M. is a member of the Embedded and IoT Industrial Applied Lab, while Sakthi Rama G. is associated with the Cyber Security & Ethical Hacking Industrial Applied Lab. Their collaborative work, which explores innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement in real-time learning environments, was commended for its originality and impact.
